About the Theater:

The primary venue of SJIFF2 is the Stockton Empire Theatre. The 252-seat art-house venue is located in the heart of Stockton's Miracle Mile district. Historically, Feb 6, 1945 marked the Opening Night of the theatre, when it was simply known as "The Stockton." With new ownership in 2005, the theatre was revived as the Stockton Empire Theatre. Today, it continues to be a multi-faceted and innovative venue for the arts and cultural life of Stockton and San Joaquin residents.
